Match report
Sunday 6th November
Wandgas Ladies v AFC Wimbledon Ladies.
Having suffered the loss of our Keeper Leanne Knott this week through serious injury we had to hastily get through the international clearance from the FA for a new Goal Keeper Ali Cutler from California USA who made an excellent debut against Wandgas Ladies.
This was always going to be a difficult match away from home with a struggling side that had to throw everything at as. In the first half we really did not get into our our stride and poor defending left us trailing 2 - 0 down at half time.
Just after the break we made some vital changes and started the fight back with goals from Emma Treanor and Kerry Knott pulling us level. The quality and strength was really starting to show through, with near misses and Stacie Tull even hitting the woodwork.
One of this seasons fantastic overseas signings Kate Walker from Australia had just returned from a trip back home and came on to replace Chanel Richards and what a welcome back, running on to a superb through ball with great skill and control she powered home an absolutely brilliant shot from 25 yards that not only gave us a well deserved three points but saw us dominating the second half.
