Match report
This was always going to be a test of Wimbledon's resolve as Westfield lie 2nd in the LSERWFL - Premier Table.
It was AFC Wimbledon who opened the scoring in the 17th minute as Emily Pratley-Jones's mishit shot dribbled against the post and found the back of the net.
Westfield stuck back 7 minutes later as they capitalised on a defensive error!
Wimbledon midfielder Emma Treanor struck a cracking volley from 25 yds out to enable the lead was taken again in the 27th minute.
Westfield again capitalised on another error to equalise again just before half time in the 44th minute.
Half Time 2-2
The match then began to stagnate, with both teams cancelling each other out.
Changes were made just before the hour mark as a double substitution was made with Chanel Richards & Serina Ly replacing Emily Pratley-Jones & Jodie Fernandes
Then in the 77th minute former AFC Wimbledon player Lizzie Laws struck an even better volley than Treanor's from 30yds to enable Westfield to take the lead for the first time.
Though AFC Wimbledon tried to come back they were held out and the match finished without further score.
