Saturday 17th April 2010
10.30 am meet at Plough Lane (7-mile walk) OR
11.15 am meet at Wimbledon Common (5-mile walk)
This promises to be an important fundraising opportunity and a highly enjoyable family occasion, starting at Plough Lane and finishing at Kingsmeadow via Wimbledon Common.
We are walking to raise money for something that matters to all of us: clearing the debt on The Cherry Red Records Fans' Stadium - Kingsmeadow stadium. The walk will also remind the people of Wimbledon (those who don’t know already) that there is a football club that bears their name.
In addition to the Stadium Fund, the Dons Community Chest and two local charities – Merton Mind and Grenfell Housing – will benefit from the event, further reinforcing our links with the local community.
Once again we will be joined by the Mayor of Merton, Cllr Nick Draper, Club President Dickie Guy as well as other old friends of the club.
This will be a fun day: hundreds of people, of all ages, in blue and yellow – or even fancy dress – enjoying a spring morning stroll to Kingsmeadow.
To join us, please complete and send off the attached entry form - download pdf here
