Match report
AFC WIMBLEDON U14 9 - MERSTHAM 0
A spectacular performance from the AFC lads now puts them clear at the top of the table. Before the game, Merstham were second in the league but the AFC lads were on top form and looked like scoring on every attack.
Sam Manzambi scored a first half hat trick where his pace and power was far too much for the Merstham defence. Time after time he raced on to through balls and his second goal nearly took the head off the keeper. James Bailey and Ashley Thompson also scored and made it 5-0 before the break.
The second half was pretty much the same as balls raided in on the Merstham goal. Crosses came in down both flanks much more in the second half which now meant that the Merstham team were dealing with balls attacking them from every angle. Manzambi added his 4th of the game and 2 more from Bailey gave him a hat trick too. Aaron Reid finished the scoring with a rasping 20 yard drive that flew in.
A special mention goes to the front pair. Sam Manzambi who has scored 12 in 6 competitive games this season and James Bailey who has 8 goals to his credit in the same number of games.
