Match report

SURREY RANGERS 0 - AFC WIMBLEDON U14 7

In a totally one sided League Cup match against Worcester Park's Surrey Rangers, it took AFC just 6 minutes to open the scoring when James BAILEY tapped in a rebound off the keeper. From then on, the ball barely crossed the half-way line as shot after shot rained in on the Rangers goal. The second came after 13 minutes when Lawrence EBANKS latched on to a pass and smashed in off the post. The goal of the game came just before half time when Josh BARTLEY ran through 3 players and bent the ball into the top right corner from outside the box.

After the break, subs were made but the Dons still piled on the pressure and Sam MANZAMBI opened his account for the day with a pile driver that bent away from the keeper after 40 minutes. BAILEY added his second for the day when he lobbed the keeper. With 10 minutes remaining, Rangers scored an OG and Ashley THOMPSON finished the scoring with a volley into the bottom left corner after 65 minutes. An all round quality performance.
