Match report
The Dons made it three League wins in a row with a 3-0 victory at Walton Casuals, again avenging an earlier League defeat.
Played on a poor surface which made control difficult, the Dons went ahead on ten minutes when Rob Hill's cross was headed home by Moriey. Ten minutes later, the keeper failed to hold Rob Hill's shot and Townsend following up smashed it home from close range. The home team created little, but a speculative 25 yarder from former Dons player Dave Fry was well tipped over by Merry.
The Dons wrapped up the points on 55 minutes when Trefry won a crunching tackle in midfield. The ball fell to Townsend over 30 yards out and his first time shot flew past a motionless goalkeeper. There was still time for Townsend to be denied his hat trick when his shot was blocked, and for Elliott to head against the post as his quest for his first goal of the season continued.
