Match report

A combination of missed chances and poor defending saw the Dons lose by four goals, a result t that seemed highly unlikely after their first-half display.

The Dons started brightly. After seven minutes, following a left wing cross from Perry, Rob Hill's shot hit the keeper and ricocheted against the bar. Continuing to keep the ball on the floor, the Dons produced another good move after 13 minutes, which resulted in Yee beating the keeper, only to see his shot hit the bar and come back into play. Eventually after 30 minutes the Dons found the net. More good work down the left resulted in Joe Hill clinking an inviting cross to the far post where Yee squeezed the ball in. Delight was short-lived as the linesman indicated the cross had gone out of play. A minute from the break, Yee hit the woodwork again when his goalbound shot was deflected by a defender.

An injury to Taylor resulted in a half-time reshuffle of the back line and within one minute of the restart the Dons found themselves a goal down when Martin mis-kicked to an opposing . forward who shot into the open net. Dons lost their shape and made errors leading to three more goals as Havant sped comfortably to a win.
