Match report
The season ended in an April shower and a half, torrential downpours spoilt what looked to have the makings of a good game, instead quality was replaced by long balls and The Colts let slip a 3-1 lead but claimed The Championship with a point from a 3-3 draw. It could have and should have been a comfortable win but many chances were squandered by the forwards and we seemed to switch off after going 3-1 up. It would have been nice for the boys to have claimed the title with a win but leagues are won over a period of time and they did that by losing only once in the league all season and that game saw us field 3 players who should not have been playing due to illness. They also played 6 of their 20 league games without a recognised keeper, a feat that not many teams would ever overcome. Hats off to the lads, it has been a tremendous achievement for them and we should all be proud of them!
