Sunday 01 October 2006 West Surrey Youth League U11 Cup
This league cup game took place in the most horrendous weather conditions of torrential rain and thunder and lighting, although this did not affect the team?s battling performance. Callum Glavey scored the first with a lob. Eagles drew level from a penalty on 15 minutes. Callum restored the Dons lead on 23 mins. This was closely followed by Ebenezer Isiaakpena who extended the lead by bursting through the Eagles defence and slotted away the goal.
With no let up from the weather in the second half the Dons went about finishing off the game and George Martin got his name on the score sheet. Ebenezer then claimed his second of the game and just before full time George Martin scored his. Certainly not the best game to watch from a spectator?s point of view but a job well and the Dons march into the next round.
