Sunday 11 March 2007 West Surrey Youth League U11 Premier Elite
The first meeting of the top two sides in the league was a tight and tense affair. Neither side gained any advantage in the first half, although Tooting felt they might have a chance when Jordan Knight in the Wimbledon goal had to leave the field injured five minutes before half time. George Martin had to take over between the sticks but wasn?t tested by the Tooting strikers.
After half time with the keeper recovered and George restored to his midfield role, Wimbledon slowly started to take control of the game. With twelve minutes remaining and after a great display of football movement, Ebenezer Isiaakpena dispatched a shot, which was a worthy winning goal. The win sees Wimbledon go top of the league.
