Profile: Ben's career started at Croydon FC where he made 293 appearances in seven years with the Trams.Aged 24, he then joined Crawley where he played 265 games before becoming their joint player-manager.
At the beginning of last season he moved to Bromley where he was appointed captain, but left Hayes Lane to join the Dons on the last day of the 2007/8 transfer window.
After agreeing terms at Kingsmeadow in May, Ben, 31, said "I am absolutely delighted to join Wimbledon. I was there for the last few weeks of the season and got a chance to see, close up, what a good club it is, and it was a privilege to be involved in the celebrations. Despite my injury, I was really made to feel part of it all and I'm proud to be joining". Updated [28 May 2008]
