Profile: 'Big Buts' is a commanding old-school centre half, rated by many as one of the best in the Ryman League. Physically strong and a good reader of the game, Steve has also been pressed into service in a midfield anchor role on occasions. Club captain who lifted the Ryman One title and the Surrey Senior Cup in 2005, he leads by example and was one of the first names to follow his manager from Hendon to Kingsmeadow. "I have never seen Steve have a bad game" says Dave Anderson of his skipper.
