Profile: Dropping down from the National Conference to finally end Dave Anderson's long search for a target-man, the 30-year-old marksman has an impressive professional record, with over 200 league appearances to his name. Tony started his career at Sheffield United before Notts County paid £200,000 for his signature in 1996. From here he switched to Bury and then to Lincoln City, before signing for local rivals Boston United. Since 2003, Tony was at Grays Athletic where the Blues won the FA Trophy last season. He joins till the end of the season, with a view to a permanent deal, after being impressed by the Dons' set-up whilst attending the Heybridge Swifts game in March 2006.
A delighted Dave Anderson said after securing his signature "It is no secret that I have been after a big centre-forward and Tony certainly fits the bill. He has a wealth of league experience and will give us another dimension - a different option to what we have at the club already."
