Profile: Keith Ward was instrumental in the Dons' early success as a tough-tackling inspirational right back, featuring (and scoring) in the Sandhurst game. After an excellent 2002-3, he made way for a younger man in Steve Gibson the following season and helped to bring through the young players in the reserves. Never a man to shirk responsibility or give less than 100%, Wardy is an example to us all. Now officially retired after an emotional send-off with a cameo against AFC Wallingford in May 2004, Wardy is expected to help Nicky English work with the U-18s, instilling his values and work ethic in a the next generation of Dons players.
