Profile: Former manager Dave Anderson's first signing in the summer of 2004, when 'Little Buts' was acquired from Ashford Town (Middlesex) in exchange for the proceeds of two pre-season friendlies. And what a first season the young striker enjoyed as he bagged 30 goals in all competitions and picked up all four club Player of the Year awards in the process. Strong and brave, he will always chase seemingly lost causes for 90 minutes - turning many of them into goalscoring opportunities for himself and others. A niggling groin problem caused him to miss vital weeks of 2005/6 as the Dons chased a playoff spot and sadly Richard sat out the majority of last season as well with a troublesome pelvic injury.
