Profile: Powerful and pacy frontman signed on loan from Shrewsbury Town in January 2010 until the end of the season. He started out at Hornchurch, moving on to Billericay and in 2007 to Brighton & Hove Albion. After a handful of first-team appearances he joined Brentford in January 2008 for £35,000 – and scored for both sides on his debut against Mansfield Town. (He scored on his debut for the Dons against Mansfield, but only for his own team.) Elder went on to make 44 appearances for the Bees, scoring 10 goals, and in August 2009 he signed for Shrewsbury on a three-year deal, but was transfer-listed last November.
