Sunday 08 October 2006 West Surrey Youth League U11 Premier North
AFC Wimbledon won this match, but not with the recent style that had been displayed. A much tougher battle was provided by Beecholme on a very small pitch which hindered the Dons passing game. Beecholme went ahead with a terrific bullet header from the central defender and AFC only woke up when the front two of Bulmer and Baugh combined to equalise from close range. Charlie Bulmer then scored a header himself to put the dons 2-1 up at half time. The Dons made hard work of the second half as the pass and move football from previous weeks was lost and individual mistakes crept in. They did score two late goals through Tom Gannon and Chris Caswell to make the final score 4-1. Special mention to the defence of Henry Peuble, George Irwin and Charlie Nolan who played very well again in front of brave keeper Ross Thomas who was in the wars for the second week running, but carried on regardless.
