A stirring second half performance could not prevent Enfield gaining the double over AFC Reserves at Dorking on Sunday. Again a poor start effectively conceded the game.
Enfield set the pace from the outset and took the lead after 10 minutes although the goal looked suspiciously offside. This seemed to unsettle AFC and the lead was doubled soon after. With AFC unable to create many openings Enfield took control of the game and scored a further 2 to put the game save at the break.
A half time roasting from manager Ric Hack seemed to do the trick as AFC looked a different team in the second half. The introduction of Rachael Woodland steadied the defence and pressure finally told when Roxanne Camp opened her account for the season with a well-deserved goal.
