Match report

On the main Kingsmeadow pitch Crystal Palace recorded a comfortable 6-1 victory to earn a Surrey Cup Final place against Chelsea Reserves.

After a very low key start the visitors went ahead in the 16th minute when Ogunneye's cross from the right sailed over Charlotte Nash's head into the net. Three minutes later an excellent passing move ended with East sweeping home the second goal then, after Palace had had a goal disallowed for pushing it was 3-0 in the 37th minute when from Ogunneye's cross Poole lifted a chip cleverly over Nash.

After the interval a Palace long shot hit the bar, then a Rebecca Duggan header from a perfect Lekesha James corner was headed off the line with Laura Topliss shooting the loose ball just wide. Palace were awarded a lucky penalty in the 56th minute when the referee saw Duggan's excellent tackle on Ogunneye as a foul, and Curtis made no mistake from the spot. Five minutes later an excellent through ball from Shorter allowed Topliss to clip the ball past Cooper to make it 4-1, but the closing stages were all Palace. After a Palace goal was disallowed for offside McDermott made it 5-1 in the 72nd minute after Nash had saved well from Dunmall, and two minutes later Dunmall curled home number six. In the closing stages Amy Couchman cleared a cross off the line and Nash pushed a Merrritt free kick round the post.

Nash, Fernandes, Ludlow, Price, Duggan, Couchman L, James, Shorter, Sims (Couchman A 59), Malone, Topliss.
