dons got back to wining ways and were too strong for newly promoted carshalton an excellent all round performance .
with an early start and perfect playing conditions on the first team pitch afc domintaed play early on with first half goals from david dowden,charlie craig,michael gee and tommy bradford.
the second half started slowly making 4 changes at half time james stroud came on and hit two goals,rhys watson scored the last.
great hospitality from carshalton and we wish paul roberts all the success for the rest of the season .

I'm afraid this was men against boys - literally. Unfortunately we just could not compete physically with a side who consisted of the most physically mature group of players we have ever come across. And to cap it all, they could certainly play football.
Credit our boys with the dogged fashion in which they competed. Even going 3-0 down early on, we showed great fighting spirit to keep going in such adversity.
Credit to AFC Wimbledon who are a great side and who played attractive football. They have assembled a very strong side from around the league. We will continue to work hard to develop our boys and maybe in a couple of years we will be able to compete physically on a level playing field.
Despite the gulf in the scoreline, we have plenty to be proud of. The never-say-die attitude came across and our boys can not be accused of giving up. Plenty for us to learn as well from AFC.
