Match report

This Surrey cup first round game was a rout as AFC Wimbledon overcame their opponents in superb fashion.
Playing with confidence and great quality all over the pitch from the first whistle AFC Wimbledon dominated this fixture. Early chances came AFC way but the Godalming keeper was in good form and kept out efforts from Rapson, Harmsworth and Tom Tollady. For the first twenty five minutes it looked like it was going to be one of those nights but perseverance paid off as Pete Rapson scored a brace and Charlie Clark-Gleave scored a fine volley to give AFC a half time lead of 3 - 0.

Throughout this game AFC played some exceptional football from back to front. The second half AFC were again dominant and scored another five goals. Pete Rapson grabbed his second hat trick of the season whilst Billy Manning came on as a sub with half hour to go and got a fine brace, Tom Tollady and Matt Harmsworth completed the scoring in which 8 - 0 flattered their opponents.
Well done to the boys for an excellent performance.
