Match report

The reserves had a comfortable 5-1 victory against Godaiming and Guildford.

As early as the seventh minute, Joe Hill's header at the near post from his brother's corner gave the home side the lead. After 22 minutes it was Rob Hill's turn to score with a header after a nicely weighted cross from Joe. Against the run of play the visitors pulled one back five minutes before half time when Steer blocked Merry's clearance and the ball rebounded into the unguarded net. But there was still time for the Dons to add two more before the break. First, Joe Hill put in Rob, whose shot was parried to Skinner. He made no mistake from close range. Then Rob Hill's low cross was coolly slotted In again by Skinner.

In the second half the Dons only added one more despite their superiority, when a sweet flowing move ended with Graham touching the ball into Joe Hill's path, who also collected his second with another controlled finish.
