Sunday 22 March 2009 Surrey Youth League U14 Premier Elite
AFC started the game with a few players not being available due to various injuries. However, this did not detract the team from playing a good football with a very good result.
1st half: Within 2 minutes of the game, Shervin’s cross passed through and hit the back of the net. This was shortly followed by Tommy’s excellent goal from a long ball. Tommy’s second goal at 20 minutes put AFC 3-0 up. Apart from the 3 goals, other goal scoring opportunities were created in the 1st half.
2nd half: The same pattern of play continued in the 2nd half with further goals from Rhys, Kieran, Michael & Shervin.
Overall, there was no threat from the opposition at all as AFC was defending well and controlling the midfield. Throughout the game, AFC was in full control of the game by passing and crossing the ball as well as generating good long shots with opposition chasing the ball most of the time.
