The U13 League Cup final was played at Carshalton Athletic and it was a much better playing surface than at Chipstead the week before.
The Dons started quickly and were soon awarded a free kick, which Terry Carlin dispatched into the Farncombe net. Two minutes later George Oakley headed home from a corner and this was swiftly followed by a Tom Bingham free kick, which also went straight into the goal. The Dons were 3-0 up after only 8 minutes and although the Farncombe heads dropped briefly after this onslaught, they regrouped and tried to deny the Dons further goal scoring opportunities. The Farncombe keeper pulled off a fine save from George Oakley and Terry Carlin went close, only to see his shot roll wide of the post. The Dons were unable to build on their pressure and failed to find the net for the remainder of the half.
With the second half underway the Farncombe keeper was still frustrating the Dons attack with some fine saves. Ebenezer Isiakpona saw his shot cleared off the line by a Farncombe defender. The lead did increase when George Martin was clear on goal and unselfishly squared the ball to Ebenezer to tap in. A minute later Callum Glavey crossed for George Oakley to score his second of the game. With four minutes remaining George Oakley completed his hat-trick. Terry completed the scoring in the final minute of the game.
This victory saw the Dons complete the treble and round off a thoroughly successful season. This team have scored 151 goals and only conceded 30 in all competitions, which is some achievement.
