Thursday 16 April 2009 Surrey Youth League U14 Premier Elite
This game had a fast tempo throughout and was expected to be tight. In the 1st half, AFC created a few goal scoring opportunities to include corners and direct shots but the opposition defended well. The 2nd half, the pressure on opposition continued as Anthony’s shot hit the cross bar.
At the 57th minute, a penalty was awarded to AFC following a handball (by the opposition player) in the penalty area. Michael took the penalty and scored.
Overall, AFC had the upper hand by keeping possession and creating more opportunities as both teams were eager to play an attacking game.
