Tuesday 03 November 2009 Surrey Premier Challenge Cup
Wimbledon cruised to a comfortable win against Combined Counties side Crescent Rovers and now face Worcester Park in the next round of the Surrey Premier Cup.
Karl Douglin opened the scoring in the first half after good work by Ryan Jackson and Joe Jackson. Elton Gjoni came on as sub with 25 minutes to go in the second half and he scored a tap in after a Douglin shot was parried by the keeper and rebounded to the unmarked Gjoni. Late on Douglin added a third after with a shot that took a slight deflection.
There were good displays from toe sixteen year olds Nathan Gordon at left back and Joe Jackson in midfield who were making their first start in the reserves.
