Match report
The Dons returned to League action and travelled to Croydon Athletic where they found a young, footballing team who had been well drilled n the offside trap.
Despite being caught in the trap on too many occasions the Dons also beat it with Lewis Taylor and Noel Frankum both making defence-splitting passes and Jamie Taylor just failing to capitalise on the chances. This didn't deter the striker and on 18 minutes a Mick Fernandes through-ball was converted by Taylor to score what turned out to be the winning goal. Taylor's quality shone through the game and his hard work and pace was almost rewarded on at least two or three occasions.
