Match report
A game marred by several injuries
Tooting's number 5 had to go off after 12 minutes after twisting his ankle; Dave Towse went down injured after a heavy challenge; Lewis Taylor was prostate after another late challenge; Noel Frankum dislocated his elbow in the 71st minute and Ray Merry ended the game limping badly after falling awkwardly when coming out of his box. All of this lead to the Referee adding about 15 minutes to the second period, in which time Tooting both equalised and sealed the points!
In the 35th minute, Jones Bamfo headed Dons into the lead from a Marc Skinner cross, but Tooting equalised in first half injury time when Steve Darlington ran on to a loose ball in the area and cracked the ball into the net.
The Dons regained the lead after 78 minutes, Jones Bamfo taking adavantage of some good build up play to delightfully chip the keeper from the edge of the box. With 91 minutes on the clock, Steve Darlington equalised for the home side, driving in past the labouring Merry, and in the tenth extra minute James Mordey's cross floated past Merry into the corner.
