Carshalton Athletic Ladies
Match report
Carshalton Athletic, Greater London League, Division One, champions last season, provided a stern test for the young ladies reserve team at Kingsmeadow.
The visitors took an early lead when Rhian Clarkson's 3rd minute cross flew over Danielle Whelan's head into the net. Both sides had several chances before Carshalton doubled their lead with half an hour gone, with a curling free kick from twenty-five yards.
Early in the second half Jendayi Castillo forced her way into the box and was clipped by a defender. Rachel Woodland finished calmly from the penalty spot.
The Dons had much the better of the second half thereafter, but were unable to convert chances to goals.
