After 335 minutes of play in pre season friendlies the reserves scored their first goal of the season when Leon McDowall capitalised on some poor defending following an excellent cross from Freddie Myers to slip the ball past the helpless goalkeeper. The second goal followed just 11 minutes later after good work down the right by Jones Bamfo who rolled a square pass into Joe Paris and his left footed shot from 20 yards again gave the goalkeeper no chance.
The resereves, with the experienced Mark Cooper and Jon Barrie Bates offering support and guidance to the young team, put on their best display of the season to date and deserved their win. Another clean sheet and an improved performance in midfield pleased manager John Morris and the team look forward to their next warm up game against Bedfont on Tuesday evening.
