Sunday 09 October 2005 West Surrey Youth League U10 Premier Elite
Wimbledon kicked this game off in an assured manner, stringing pass after pass together and playing neat attacking football. Wave after wave of Wimbledon pressure was thwarted either by fine saves from the keeper or shots just the wrong side of the post. Unfortunately it was Rocks Lane who stuck first when a Wimbledon attack broke down and the cleared ball found a Rocks Lane forward who only had the keeper to beat. Wimbledon recovered from this set back and scored almost immediately from the restart when a shot from Sam Toms was dropped by the keeper, only for Callum Glavey to tap in. Wimbledon continued to dominate the game but the final pass just seemed to let them down. On 38 minutes Wimbledon scored the goal their football deserved when George Martin skilfully brought the ball under control and slotted past the keeper.
