Sunday 05 February 2006 West Surrey Youth League U10 Premier Elite
Wimbledon were out of the blocks quickly for this game and took the lead inside 2 minutes after a cross from the right found Eddie Mason unmarked and he coolly slotted the ball home. Wimbledon continued to pepper the Predators goal but were denied by either post and excellent work by the Predators keeper. On 13 minutes Eddie Mason doubled Wimbledon?s advantage by finishing off another well-worked move.
Wimbledon dominated the second half and secured the points midway through, when the keeper couldn?t hold a shot and George Martin pounced and fired home the rebound. Predators offered nothing in attack and the Wimbledon defence had hardly anything to do. The score could have been a lot higher if the chances created had been executed with more precision. Not a pretty game to watch but certainly the right result from a hard working Wimbledon side.
