On a muddy pitch with constant wind and rain, Wimbledon set about claiming all three points early on. With only 2 minutes on the clock a Wimbledon corner was floated in for Reece Hannigan to head home. Wimbledon were completely dominating the game and forced corner after corner but were not converting their chances. But with 15 minutes gone debut boy, Ryan Cleary got his name on the score sheet, after a fine passing move involving most of the team. Wimbledon then won another corner and from the resulting scramble Reece Hannigan?s shot crossed the line.
Wimbledon seemed to let Predators back into the game at the start of the second half although this didn?t last long and the fourth goal came from a pass from Bradley Sexton who found Ryan Cleary in space, and had time to turn and calmly slot the ball into the back of the net. On 45 minutes Ryan completed his hat trick, a fine display from the new boy who deservedly was named man of the match. The goals were wrapped up when Jamie Hills crossed from the right and Callum Glavey scored.
