Sunday 02 April 2006 West Surrey Youth League U10 Premier Elite
The Dons took to the pitch knowing that a win would secure the league title. The play was all in the Halliford half but the Dons were unable to convert their numerous chances. Mid way through the first half this changed when Bradley Sexton thoroughly deserved to get his name on the score sheet with a great goal.
Again in the second half, Wimbledon put the pressure on to try and extend their lead only to be thwarted by some excellent work by the Halliford keeper. George Martin hit a shot that beat the keeper but hit the inside of the post and bounced out. George did however, get his reward in the last minute. After dancing through the Halliford defence, he fired home to put the result beyond any doubt. When the final whistle blew players and supporters celebrated as worthy champions of the West Surrey Youth League.
