Sunday 13 November 2005 West Surrey Youth League U10 Premier Elite
Wimbledon attacked from the kick off and a cross from the right by Sam Toms found George Martin who finished with a high level tap in on 2 minutes. These two players linked up again shortly afterwards when Sam delivered a free kick from which George hit the bar. The half continued at a frenetic pace but Wimbledon were unable to convert their chances.
Eagles came back into the game in the second half and during one attack, Jordan Knight made a confident punch clearance, which he got some distance through a crowded penalty area and set up a counter attack. George Martin claimed his second goal of the game when a clearance found him on his own just inside the Epsom half. He raced on with only the keeper to beat and his shot hit the post but he tucked away the rebound. The whole team can be very proud of their performance in this victory.
