Sunday 22 January 2006 West Surrey Youth League U10 Premier Elite
On a frosty and foggy morning AFC Wimbledon wanted to add to their unbeaten run in the league. Wimbledon had the better of the early exchanges but the Predators? keeper was in fine form and pulled off some terrific saves. With half time looming and the stalemate looking unlikely to be broken, Wimbledon mounted a final attack, which culminated in a fantastic shot by George Martin to give the Dons the lead they deserved. The second half was ruined by the niggly and almost cynical challenges by the opposition that went unpunished by the referee. The whole team should be very proud of themselves in the way that they did not retaliate to the provocation. The best thing to say about this game was that AFC Wimbledon won, they got the 3 points they wanted and now forget about this game!
