Sunday 19 February 2006 West Surrey Youth League U10 Premier Elite
With this being the reverse of last week?s fixture both teams knew what they were up against. Wimbledon again piled the pressure on from the start and scored after only 3 minutes when a long range shot from Sam Toms hit the post and ricocheted in off the Predators keeper?s back. The lead doubled a couple of minutes later when the keeper spilt Eddie Mason?s shot and George Martin tapped in. Towards the end of the first half Predators came back into the game and went close to scoring with a shot that hit the post.
Wimbledon kept their shape in the second half and extended their lead when Sam Toms scored again from distance. Wimbledon put the game completely out of Predators reach with two goals in two minutes, Ryan Cleary claimed goal number 4 when he received the ball just inside the Predators half and only had the keeper to beat, the keeper deflected his initial shot but Ryan tucked away the rebound. Ryan then turned provider with a cross that found Eddie Mason to hit the final goal. A special mention should also go to the defence, as this was their fifth consecutive clean sheet in the league.
