Match report

A great win for the Dons in this high scoring league game with Charlie Craig scoring against his old team. The game started brightly for Wimbledon with plenty of pressure. This paid off in the 9th minute when a ball into the box was palmed away by the Casuals number 4. Daniel Pain calmly put away the resulting penalty. The rest of the half proceed with equal pressure from both teams and few scoring opportunities. The second half started with Casuals pressing forward for the equaliser and the Dons a little out of sorts. Casuals were beginning to take the upper hand and a weak shot slipped through keeper Sean Fallon's hands and over the line. 1-1.

Casuals were galvanised by this and continued to put pressure on the Dons defence which managed to hold firm.

Wimbledon roused themselves and began to get themselves back into the game with attacks down both flanks. The Casuals' defence started to look in disarray and in the 45th minute a ball cross the face of the goal was put in by their number 4.

Two minutes later Charlie Craig picked up the ball 25 yards from goal and produced a sublime shot up and over the keeper. 3-1.

From then on it was all Wimbledon wave after wave. In the 54th minute Ben Skea danced down the right wing passed two defenders and his ball into the box was crashed into the net by the Casuals no.8.

A great result for the Dons especially considering that it wasn't one of our best performances.
