Match report
The long trip to the south coast brought a goal-less draw as neither side were able to overcome the cold and windy conditions.
The Dons had the better of the early exchanges as a long range shot from Ward was saved by the keeper and a Hodge header from Taylor's corner was saved on the line. As the half progressed the home team came more into the game. Readings made an important block to thwart a goal-bound shot and Courtney made a vital save in a one on one situation with the opposing forward.
Watts and McFadden replaced Elliott and Jones at half-time, as the Dons changed their formation in order to counter the home side's midfield passing game. Most of the second half saw the Dons defending with Courtney making a number of fine saves and Angell making a number of clearances. Although the home side came closest to scoring as a long shot rattled the bar, Luffman's header in the closing stages
almost snatched an unlikely victory.
