Match report
A very disappointing display from a reserves side which included a number of first team players saw the Dons suffer an embarrassing home defeat.
Faced with a pacey, aggressive forward line the Dons' defence gave their opponents too much space and time, and within 15 minutes found themselves 2 - 0 down. The remainder of the half saw more of a contest with Ward and Sidwell coming closest to pulling a goal back. Shortly before half time the referee failed to blow up for a foul on Merry and the resulting melee led to the visitors going three up.
The second half started as badly as the first had ended, with Molesey scoring a fourth within two minutes of the restart after a mistake by Merry, who had a night to forget. Almost immediately the Dons pulled one back after a move involving Sidwell and Frankum led to Taylor blasting the ball home. In the next ten minutes Sidwell twice failed to test the keeper when clean through and Towse hit the post. The Dons were punished for these misses as the visitors added another 4 to leave the home side with their worst defeat of the season.
