Match report
The Dons were away to the Youth Dons, it what was a top of the table clash. The first game of the season between these two was a 3-3 draw. So a enthralling encounter was anticipated. The Youth Dons, took an early lead When Sonny Russell glanced his header into the net. The Dons keeper Rob Marsden had plenty to do, and made a couple of good saves, then gradually The Dons found a bit of desire, and Adam Fletcher, began to create chances, and just missed a golden opportunity to level the scores if he'd headed the ball home. But Nick Taylor, who was unwell, had very little to do.
In the second half, Elliot Mitchell went closest for the Dons, with a rifled shot that just went past the top corner of the goal. the the Youth Dons, dominated again with the excellent Timmy De Silva running the show up front, and poor defending from the Dons, allowed him to fire home from close range. Tee Jay Ryan and the impressive Sonny Russell dominated the midfiled, and James Snishko, Jack Malin, Sam King and Charlie Dennis, were very solid in the Youth Dons defence.The Youth Dons, fired home a well deserved 3rd goal in the last minute when Sonny Russell, shot from and acute angle and the ball finished in the frame of the goal.
We all meet again next sunday in the league cup semi final, which will now be a very intriging game!!! if it's played in the same spirit as this game it will be a good game of football to watch.
the Youth Dons now top the table by one point from the Dons.
