Hayes Youth U15
Match report
after last weeks narrow win in the league cup semi final verses the Youth team, the dons had another tough game against last years league cup winners, Hayes Youth in the league.
in perfect condtions, the game ebbed and flowed, but gradually the dons, began to dominate and David Fayinor began to turn the Hayes defence, and soon got through and thundered a shot against the post. then the deadlock was broken with Fayinor firing home from and acute angle. but soon Hayes were level, when the dons gave the ball away in midfield and Hayes put the ball into the net leaving keeper Joey Mason one on one and no chance.after half time the dons were again on top and chances went begging, and it was David Fayinor ho put the Dons ahead again with a close range overhead kick!!! Hayes never really looked like scoring, but the dons did give away lots of needless free kicks around the penalty area which put the defence and keeper under pressure. Then the 3rd goal was scored again by David Fayinor, this time a tap after the Hayes keeper spilled a shot. there were good performances from hat trick man Fayinor, debutant Dan Gridley, Michael Kyere, and captain Ed Bell.
