Sunday 16 October 2005 Surrey Primary League U10 Division One
The early stages of this match were dominated by AFC Wimbledon and they went ahead after only 5 minutes when a powerful cross-shot from Jerrell Gidden caught the Fleet goalkeeper out at his near post. The lead was doubled in the 12th minute when Henry Peuble struck a sweet left footed shot from the edge of the area which put AFC in complete control. Despite a spirited display from the home team a third goal was added after 15 mins when striker
Charlie Bulmer nipped in to score at the back post after some great work from Jamie Hills and Jamal Daley. Charlie Bulmer then added another with a sweetly struck volley from outside the area to make the score 4-0 at halftime.
The home team re-grouped and battled well in the second half but it wasnt long before Jamal Daley added to the score with a lob from the edge of the box and Charlie Bulmer then completed his hat-trick with a poachers goal after Eddie Pinder and Henry Peuble had worked well down the left wing. This was a good performance capped by an excellent defensive display from Kiran Khinda- John which meant that keeper Callum Fenton Jones was rarely troubled.
