Sunday 13 November 2005 Surrey Primary League U10 Division One
AFC Wimbledon under 10,s suffered their first defeat of the season against a very good Meadow side. After again starting slowly Wimbledon conceded after only 7 mins when a lack of cover was exposed at the back and the Meadow striker finished calmly to put them 1-0 up. Callum Fenton Jones then pulled off a string of outstanding saves to keep Wimbledon in the match before conceding a goal that squeezed beneath him just before half time to give the home side a 2-0 interval lead.
Despite a much better 2nd half performance, Wimbledon were only able to reduce the deficit 7 minutes from time with a headed Callum Lawson goal after a corner from man of the match Kiran Khinda-John. Despite some pressure in the closing minutes Wimbledon were unable to prevent their first loss of the season and will need to improve on this performance.
