Sunday 30 October 2005 West Surrey Youth League U10 Cup
The game started with Wimbledon dominating from the kick off and it seemed that it would just be a matter of time before they got off the mark. But it was Halliford who scored the first goal on 9 minutes with their first attack of the game, completely against the run of play. However Wimbledon got the equaliser their football deserved straight from the re-start when Sam Toms skipped round a few challenges and slotted the ball past the keeper. Wimbledon took the lead just before half time after Eddie Mason rounded two players and fired home a great strike. Unfortunately Wimbledon seemed to go to sleep from the re-start and with literately the last kick of the half Halliford equalised.
The second half was only a couple of minutes old when George Martin restored the Dons lead. The game was wrapped up on 45 minutes by a superb low shot taken from the edge of the area by Bradley Sexton. Wimbledon thoroughly deserved their victory, which puts them into the quarter finals.
