Sunday 05 March 2006 Surrey Primary League U10 Division One
AFC Wimbledon were not on form in this tough fixture but battled through to take the points after trailing their visitors for some time after a neat volley from a corner that was against the run of play. The Dons could not get the usual passing game going and it looked likely to be a frustrating morning for the boys before George Irwin hit a long range shot that fooled the keeper and evened up the score. With renewed passion the game was settled late on when striker Charlie Bulmer hit the roof of the net with a long range effort that was very significant as the Dons main rivals for the Championship dropped points themselves.
