Sunday 15 January 2006 West Surrey Youth League U10 Cup
This semi final was played on a very uneven pitch, which didn?t suit Wimbledon?s passing game but they dug in and took the game to Predators. Predators defended well but the deadlock was broken midway through the first half when Sam Toms? pass picked out Callum Glavey who clinically finished to put Wimbledon one up at the break. In the second half it was all one-way traffic and Predators never troubled the Wimbledon keeper, Jordan Knight. Wimbledon doubled their lead with a shot from Jamie Hills which took a slight deflection off a defender and the keeper left it, thinking it was going wide. Wimbledon never looked in any danger of losing this cup-tie and now face Epsom Eagles in the final. This result was even sweeter considering Wimbledon?s squad was weakened due to illness. All in all a great victory for the Dons.
