Match report

This was another difficult game for the Dons, with Hayes beating the Youth side the previous week 2-1.The pitch was lively, and there was a strong wind.
The Dons applied early pressure, and chances went begging to Will Marlow who hit the bar, David Faiynor, and Adam Fletcher. The game ebbed and flowed, but Hayes didn't really create many chances. Midway through the first half, Will Marlow hit a free kick, which the keeper failed to hold, and in nipped David Faiynor to put the Dons 1-0 up.
Hayes then upped the pressure, but Rob Marsden made a great save to keep the Dons 1-0 up at a crucial stage of the game.
Hayes were then punished, when a cross came over form the right and the impressive Harrison Dunk guided the ball home at the far post.
The Dons now 2-0 up at half time, were in control, and so it continued in the second half. Harrison Dunk crossed for Will Marlow to thunder his shot into the far corner.
There were good defensive performances from Ed Bell, Godfrey Ayere, and Kieran Garland. The midfield was strong with Michael Kyere again playing very well, along, Will Marlow and Harrison Dunk. The Dons remain top of the premier elite.
