AFC Wimbledon came into this County Cup without having played a competitive game for a month. Luckily they didn?t look too sluggish and attractive passing football led to them taking the lead from a Callum Glavey goal after just 11 minutes. This lead was doubled shortly after when Ryan Cleary found the back of the net. The Sutton goalkeeper was injured during this goal and after a lengthy stoppage, had to be replaced. The delay seemed to affect the Dons and within the space of three minutes they conceded two sloppy goals. However with literally the last kick of the half, Ben Hunt put the Dons back in front.
Wimbledon stepped up a gear in the second half and more goals followed. George Martin scored after a superb run from Eddie Mason. Then Ben Hunt claimed his second of the game and finally Luc Vezzu scored from a corner. An assured win in the end to see the Dons safely through to the quarter final.
