Sunday 22 April 2007 West Surrey Youth League U11 Premier Elite
On a dusty and very hard pitch with the ball bouncing awkwardly most of the time, Wimbledon went into their last away game of the season hunting for another three points. Tolworth had set their side up basically to defend and kept all their players behind the ball. The stalemate was broken on 11 minutes when George Martin?s pass found Ben Hunt who fired the Dons in front. Two minutes later Ebenezer Isiaakpena scrambled the ball home. Ben Hunt then turned provider and his corner found Ebenezer?s head to bring up the third goal. Tolworth then had an attack and although Jordan Knight saved the initial shot another Tolworth player scored from the rebound. Wimbledon subsequently forced another corner and this time Ben Hunt picked out Callum Glavey who slotted home.
In the second half the heat was starting to take its toll but Wimbledon were not finished with their goal tally. Eddie Mason hit a sweet shot from distance, which sailed into the net. George Martin followed this from a similar range. The final goal came from George Martin with an almost identical strike to his last, only this time further out!
